OUR BOOKS

DEWSBURY BUS MUSEUM

IS PUBLISHING

A SERIES OF PAPERBACK BOOKS!

To assist with the costs of restoring Guy Wulfrunian 970, we are working on a series of books.

The first book, by member Stuart Goldthorpe tells his personal memories of the red West Riding buses (see picture).

The second book is an album of previously unseen photographs from the private collection of member Keith Watson, who passed away early in 2008. We are very grateful to his family for helping us with this.

Both of these books are now available.

The books can be ordered on this website, (£7.99 each plus £1.50 p&p), using any major debit or credit card, (click HERE), and will be on sale at local enthusiasts' events.

Other books planned for 2010 are the life story of Wulfrunian 970, by Basil Hancock, including its long and painstaking restoration, and some previously unseen photographs of West Riding buses in the 1970s and 1980s, by Ken Aveyard.

A BEDTIME STORY FOR THE KIDS!

Dewsbury Bus Museum is also publishing a children's book that has nothing to do with buses! "Oops-a-daisy" was written by one of our members and tells the story of a duck-billed platypus, and how he learned to speak. Also available now, this book will retail at £4.99 (+£1.50 p&p). All the proceeds from this book, however, will be donated to The Sick Children's Trust, a charity providing free accommodation at hospitals for families of seriously-ill children.
