OUR YOUNG FANS
Most bus enthusiasts will confess that their interest dates back to when they were quite young. At our open day on Sunday 4th May 2008, our most enthusiastic visitors were very young indeed.
The Arriva shuttle service was operated by Dennis Lance 801 (K801 HWW) and the first picture shows 2½-year-old Samuel Wilson from Heckmondwike, who was delighted to have a drive.
Shortly after this, by an amazing co-incidence, along came another 2½-year-old Samuel!
The second picture shows Samuel Pepperday from Ossett, taking our 40-year-old Leyland Panther (LHL 164F) for a quick spin.
He even had a coat to match the colour scheme of the cab!
And finally, young Joshua Skyrme who had a drive in the Arriva shuttle bus at our Open Day in november 2009.
