SAVE THIS BUS!
Added 16th November 2009
THIS BUS IS TO BE SCRAPPED in the near future, but would make a good preservation project.
This Metrorider was built in 1993 by Optare in Leeds, hence the Yorkshire registration, just after they took the design off MCW.
It went to Darlington as their fleet number 37. Then it went to Cambus, then to Kentish Bus at Northfleet, and then to Arriva Sussex. It then went to Blackburn to work for Buzzy Bus in competition against Blackburn Transport. A local one-person operator in the Blackpool area then took it.
It is now in storage near Blackpool Airport, but will shortly go for scrap if no one buys it. It runs well, but is believed to be currently out of MOT and tax.
