Have you seen a rare or interesting bus with a West Yorkshire connection anywhere? If so,

why not take a photograph and e-mail it to us (in jpg format, please)? You can do this by clicking the picture of a camera above. Don't forget to tell us where you saw it, and as much information as you can.

This part of West Riding Leyland National 137 (MUA 882P) was spotted in a children's adventure park (Wonderland) near Nottingham by Tony Salmon. It was previously used as a driving simulator in the Transperience museum in Low Moor, Bradford. This establishment has now closed down.

MIKE BENNETT has kindly provided some information about this. The first two bays of this Leyland National bearing the identity 137 (MUA 882P) are actually from UUP 829K which was mocked up by West Riding to appear at one of their open days. There was nothing of the real MUA 882P (which was withdrawn in 1985) in it. UUP 829K was acquired for spares in November 1982 and was never run by West Riding. It passed to the West Yorkshire Transport Museum (Transperience). When this closed down, the bus apparently was offered back to West Riding. Clearly it wasn't accepted and neither was it subsequently scrapped as has been reported elsewhere.

ARRIVA'S Heritage Dennis Dart 186 (P186 VUA) is seen in Rotherham on 9th December 2007 in company with Yorkshire Woollen 622 (HD 7905), a Leyland Tiger dating from 1948 that was originally based at Dewsbury.

Arriva-Yorkshire's Dennis Dart 200 (R103 GNW) is seen near Hawes in June 2006 on its way to replace 170 (P170 VUA), which had developed a minor engine fault on Dalesbus service 805. These buses were based at Dewsbury, but both have been transferred to Selby since then.

And finally, thanks to Paul Salmon who recently spotted Arriva-Yorkshire's 514 (M697 HPF) in its new role at Tees Valley.
