Chassis: Bristol VRT SL3/2865   Body: ECW 24373 Capacity: H43/31F

New in March 1981, numbered 455, and painted in NBC livery, this bus was allocated to Dewsbury Depot and stayed there until withdrawal. In November 1982 a fleet renumbering scheme resulted in the new number 905. Around this time, she was painted in an all-over advert for Interlink Couriers, thus never receiving the Metro Bus livery. In March 1987, she was re-painted into Yorkshire Buses livery.

Withdrawn in November 1993, she was sold in early 1994 to Ty-Draw, Brynford, whose livery she still carries. In July 1994, she was sold to Burns, Tarves, who then sold her to Grierson, Fishburn. In March 2009, she was withdrawn and rescued by Steve Hurley and Ross Peacock. Very little restoration work was done initially, but in January 2012 Dewsbury Bus Museum members Andrew Beever and Steve Hurley have secured the vehicle. A full inspection and assessment is taking place with a view to starting a full restoration over the spring and summer months.

The plan is to restore the bus to its Yorkshire Woollen (Caldaire style) livery. Watch this space.......
